It is our love letter to the ordinary men and women who gave everything they had — including their lives — so that the rest of us could inherit a free nation.
Each piece is named for a woman whose courage helped win American independence: the quiet heroes whose names rarely made it into the textbooks. History remembers the generals. We wanted to give each of these women a crown.
Freedom was never free, and it was never permanent by default. It was fought for, paid for in full, and kept — generation after generation — only by people who show up for it.

WHY FRAUNCES TAVERN and THE MET:
Sophie Kaye photographed the collection on location at Fraunces Tavern — the Lower Manhattan tavern where George Washington bid farewell to his officers on December 4, 1783 — and at The Metropolitan Museum of Art, home to one of the world’s most significant collections of American Revolutionary‑era decorative arts and portraiture.
Every piece began as a study of a specific artwork or artifact.
One location is where the Revolution was lived; the other is where its art has been preserved.
The REVOLUTION Collection exists in the space between the two.
DESIGNER’S INSPIRATION / MUSINGS:
Fireworks were my starting point — the sparkle of every Fourth of July — but the heart of this piece is Paris.
I imagined the salons where Benjamin Franklin and Madame Brillon traded music, letters, and friendship while the alliance that helped win the war was being built.
The tiny delayed‑spark details with the tiny fleur de lis delicately adorning the ends are my favorite part: that split second after a firework bursts, when the light is still falling...
