The COQUETTE DE VERSAILLES was imagined in that exact moment of held breath — tender, a little flirtatious, and hopelessly, extravagantly romantic.
One single, whispering layer of the sheerest bridal illusion tulle — so beautifully fine - it photographs like breath on a windowpane and seems to float unsupported — suspended in the air over a bare back, a corseted bodice, a column of liquid silk crepe, or a gown so beaded it deserves to be seen straight through her.
An unbroken border of French Chantilly lace... the most romantic of all the French laces: a gossamer background scattered with small, dense florals, finished in scalloped edges that look drawn rather than woven — the sort of lace that has been worn to weddings for over two hundred years, because of it's delicate beauty.
One dreamy diaphanous layer, nothing to compete with your gown. Just a luminous halo that softens the entire world into candlelight for the length of your vows. She follows you down the aisle like a love letter still being written.

The photographs on this page are of our real bride Jacqueline, who wore our Coquette de Versailles in Soft Bridal White - the traditional mantilla way for her cathedral ceremony — the Chantilly Lace framing her face as she came down the aisle, the full 120 inches drifting behind her across the marble.
Look closely and you can see exactly what one sheer layer does: every scallop of lace on her gown is still perfectly visible straight through the veil.

Each veil is cut, draped, and hand-finished individually in our US atelier from the loveliest materials in the world — Chantilly lace, ultra sheer bridal illusion tulle, fine silken thread — and hand finished on a wire comb that anchors securely in your tresses, so you can be kissed, held, photographed and adored, and romanced as you should on your wedding day without worry of the hold of your veil.

Is this veil one layer or two?
One. Coquette de Versailles is a single-tier (single layer) mantilla veil with no separate blusher. A coordinating blusher can be made on request.
How long is a cathedral veil?
Coquette de Versailles measures 120 inches long (305 cm) by 100 inches wide (254 cm) — a cathedral length that trails roughly 3 to 4 feet past a standard gown train.
What is a mantilla veil?
A mantilla is a single-layer veil, traditionally Spanish, that is worn framing the crown of the head with lace bordering the entire edge — so the lace outlines the face and shoulders rather than sitting only at the bottom and side edges.
What is French Chantilly lace?
Chantilly is a fine bobbin lace originating in Chantilly, France, known for its very sheer background, detailed floral motifs and delicate scalloped edges. It is one of the lightest and most refined bridal laces.
Will this veil hide the details on my dress?
No. The bridal illusion tulle is ultra sheer and single-layered, so beading, lace and embroidery on your gown remain fully visible through the veil.
How does the veil attach? On a wire comb, hand-stitched into the veil, which grips securely in your tresses.
Can I order a custom length or color?Yes. Custom lengths, widths, and a coordinating blusher are available. Message us before ordering.
What colors does it come in?
Two: Pale Ivory and Soft Bridal White.
What color should I choose? Pale Ivory looks perfect with most bridal gown tones and colors, and if your gown is a bright white color - choose Soft Bridal White.
Do you do rush orders? Yes, for a fee. However, we must first discuss the needed timeframe with you and agree to the rush time frame prior to your order being placed. Please message us and we will be happy to assist you.
